My experience as a counsellor

A bit more about me

I love my role as a counsellor. I also pride myself on my non-intrusive, warm, professional and open manner.

Having gained a BSc in Integrative Counselling as a mature student, I spent 8 years working for a large local organisation, offering short term face to face and telephone counselling for a wide variety of issues. For example; work-related stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, redundancy, sexual abuse, relationships, childhood issues, marital breakdown, depression, stress, panic attacks, bereavement and loss.

In addition to working for this large organisation, I have also been in private practice for 5 years. I am based near Fareham in Hampshire and offer both long and short term counselling. As all therapy sessions are now conducted online or over the telephone, you can be located anywhere in the UK.

I am an Accredited and full registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and currently also working for a number of Employee Assistance Programme’s offering short term focused counselling.
