My experience as a counsellor

A bit more about me

I love my role as a counsellor. I also pride myself on my non-intrusive, warm, professional and open manner.

Having gained a BSc in Integrative Counselling as a mature student, I spent 8 years working for a large local organisation, offering short term face to face and telephone counselling for a wide variety of issues. For example; work-related stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, redundancy, sexual abuse, relationships, childhood issues, marital breakdown, depression, stress, panic attacks, bereavement and loss.

In addition to working for this large organisation, I also have been in private practice for 5 years. I offer both long and short term counselling sessions from two alternative consulting rooms - one situated in Swanmore, in the heart of the Meon Valley countryside and the other in Fareham town centre.

I am an Accredited and full registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and currently working for a number of Employee Assistance Programme’s offering short term focused counselling. I offer face to face, telephone or online counselling. I feel each have their place, dependent on the individual or organisational requirements.
